This role is based out of our Northborough office, where you'll be part of a close-knit team focused on natural resource permitting and construction compliance. As an Environmental Scientist, you'll take on a range of responsibilities, including wetland delineations, construction site inspections, technical reporting, permitting support, and attending Conservation Commission meetings. Required Experience & Qualifications As an Environmental Scientist, you'll need relevant hands-on experience in the field. While we're happy to train you on some specifics, you should already be comfortable with the following: Conducting wetland delineations and preparing wetland permit applications (NOI, 401/404, etc.). Performing construction inspections and writing clear, detailed reports. Representing projects and clients in front of Conservation Commissions. Communicating professionally with clients and contractors under the guidance of your Team Leader. Working comfortably outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, we're looking for someone with: A bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field. Familiarity with New England's native soils and plant species. The ability to read and interpret site plans accurately. Knowledge of local and state wetland regulations. Experience collaborating with contractors in the field. Proficiency with GIS tools. Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing environmental reports. Benefits As an Environmental Scientist, we offer a competitive salary of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience.
