Description Navarro Research & Engineering is recruiting a GSFC Environmental Planner (3847) at Goddard Space Flight Center (Greenbelt, MD). Navarro Research & Engineering is an award-winning federal contractor dedicated to partnering with clients to advance clean energy and deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental fields. Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense. The Environmental Planner provides technical leadership and execution of environmental planning and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) services in support of NASA programs, projects, and institutional operations. Primary Responsibilities Provide environmental planning and NEPA support in accordance with federal and state regulations Prepare and review Environmental Assessments (EAs) and related documentation Support Environmental and Safety Review (E&SR) processes Coordinate with project teams and regulatory stakeholders Ensure environmental compliance throughout project planning and execution Support documentation, reviews, and regulatory coordination required under NEPA Track compliance commitments and support environmental decision-making Requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science or Science/Engineering discipline Minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience related to environmental planning and NEPA Experience with local and state regulatory requirements applicable to environmental planning Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting NASA or federal environmental planning programs Familiarity with large, complex infrastructure or research facilities Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
