Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.comSummaryThe Sr. Environmental Specialist will use their experience to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace and engage employees in the development of a strong EH&S culture. In this role, you will evaluate workplace compliance with regard to local, state and federal regulations. You will function as an expert resource to teams for consistent implementation of company EH&S standards and programs. You will perform jobsite auditing and conducts incident investigation. You also will conduct inspections and ensure compliance with applicable EH&S regulations and standards.Responsibilities:
Support LG Energy Solution by managing the company's permitting activities, including focusing on air (permits and compliance) but not limited to waste, storm water, wastewater permits and other reporting requirementsAssist with compiling all relevant information needed for completing facility permitsCollaborate with other groups and consultants as needed to ensure applications are completed/submitted accurately and on-timeSupport others to ensure all permitting and reporting complies company standards and applicable Federal/State/Local and environmental regulationsProvide relevant data for completing reports and trackingCommunicate with federal, state and local agencies as necessaryProvide management with updates on application and reporting statusUnderstand government regulations as needed to complete tasksProvide technical expertise for other team members in regards to environmental regulationsProvide leadership with an accurate budget for permitting and reporting related fees and activitiesProvide permitting and reporting assistance to other LG Energy Solution sites as neededProvide overall support within the Environmental team, as assignedMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experienceExperience:
6+ years of experience in environmental reporting and regulatory experienceSkills:
