United States, Minnesota, Morris 14 Green River Road (Show on map) Aug 31, 2026 A Response Manager at West Central Environmental Consultants (WCEC) and SET Environmental, Inc.

is responsible to:

Provide leadership in all aspects of client projects including management of Emergency Response projects, project management, client development, and client management

Lead emergency response and follow-up environmental project work including investigation, remediation, sample collection, data analysis, while working alongside and supporting other Project Managers and Senior Managers on multiple projects

Manage environmental permitting, investigation and remediation tasks

Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste containerization, manifesting, profiling, transport, storage, and disposal

Coordinate and deliver on-schedule and on-budget tasks

Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors

Assist with developing junior staff, particularly in emergency response activities, technical data collection, sample collection, site management, and client relations through skills training and on the job experience

Lead the ER team in the field, including extended time periods as necessary on large scale and high-profile responses

Assist with management, administration, and execution of SET's OSRO program

Direct and perform fieldwork which may include soil sampling, groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, biological sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys

Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memorandums

Perform office work which can include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts

Perform report preparation, writing, and review

Record and maintain detailed scientific field notes accurately

Adhere to SET's quality assurance/quality control procedures

Follow SET's health and safety policies, responsible for on-site safety

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs and growth objectives

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in applicable field

Minimum of 2 years related industry experience

Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e. 40 Hour

HAZWOPER

Training, Confined Spaces)

Hold a valid Driver's License

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly

Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Read and speak English sufficiently

Must be flexible to changes in schedule and be available for "on call" status

Must be able to work in various climates

Strong decision making and leadership skills

Ability to problem-solve and multitask

Ability to maintain positive customer relations

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
