Posting Summary The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers invites applications for Part-Time teaching positions in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources for Summer Session 2026. Instructors are needed for Principles of Ecology lab, and Ornithology (lab component)
Position Status:
Part Time Minimum Education and Experience B.S. and knowledge of course materials. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expert knowledge of the course materials. Must be proficient in Canvas, and teaching using Zoom interfaced with Canvas. Physical Demands and Work Environment In-person and/or remote instruction. Overview The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, located on the George H. Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the biological spectrum from molecules to ecosystems. Our emphasis is on both the fundamental sciences and the social and human dimensions. Statement The Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources specializes in ecology, evolution, and natural resource conservation. We study the evolutionary origins and maintenance of biodiversity, conserving and restoring native ecosystems, and issues of global change such as managing natural resources within urban ecosystems.
