Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Environmental Management Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Winnemucca, Nevada . Overview This role involves supporting the preparation and implementation of a project environmental management plan, supervising a team to ensure plan integration and execution, and providing technical guidance to ensure environmental protection and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Manage an environmental services program, including technical and administrative aspects Supervise contractors and client personnel, providing guidance on their activities Offer technical support within safety, health, and environmental teams and to other project functions Use risk assessment, data analysis, and management systems to track and improve environmental performance Prepare technical and regulatory reports, review assessments, and evaluate data and performance trends Participate in emergency preparedness planning and coordinate investigation and resolution of environmental incidents Conduct inspections, monitoring, and sampling to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, permits, and project requirements Develop and maintain the Construction Environmental Control Plan (CECP), incorporating client and regulatory requirements Support field leaders in implementing the CECP and identify environmental best practices Adapt and evolve the CECP throughout project stages Identify environmental activities to minimize risks related to the project schedule Qualifications Bachelor's degree or international equivalent 7-10 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with construction site activities such as earthworks, civil works, and piling Experience managing environmental management systems, compliance tracking, technical report writing, and dashboard development Ability to conduct audits and inspections in accordance with site requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting field leaders in environmental management plan implementation Knowledge of environmental regulations and permits specific to construction projects We thank all applicants for their interest.
