Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Environmental Safety Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Winnemucca, Nevada . Overview We are looking for a technical analyst to support environmental, safety, and health functions on a large mining project in Winnemucca, Nevada. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and supporting improvement efforts through ES&H data management and process enhancement. Responsibilities Assist in implementing ES&H program and management system, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Develop, maintain, and analyze ES&H databases, including incident reports, audit findings, and corrective actions. Perform statistical analysis to identify performance trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support the use of software systems and electronic tools utilized by ES&H personnel. Lead or participate in risk assessments, mitigation planning, and incident investigations. Prepare reports, communication materials, and documentation for program and record-keeping purposes. Assist with incident notifications, investigations, and reporting. Suggest and implement process improvements to minimize hazards and enhance safety. Support employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance activities. Research complex issues, provide regulatory interpretations, and offer technical advice to ES&H teams. Provide support to both field and office ES&H personnel through various disciplines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, with 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Technical proficiency in computer-based training development software. Knowledge of Adobe Suite, SharePoint web development, FrontPage programming, and Flash for training products. Understanding of web design, artwork packages, and learning/development systems. Familiarity with ES&H standards, regulations, and process improvement tools. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to prepare clear documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the client's environmental, safety, and health processes (internal or former candidates). We thank all applicants for their interest.
