Job Overview:
The Outdoor Educator position provides an exciting opportunity to use nature as one of the most powerful classrooms for learning and growth. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate individual to support students with complex needs through hands-on learning experiences that promote engagement, independence, regulation, communication, and community participation. The Outdoor Educator will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop meaningful outdoor learning opportunities that connect students to the environment through experiential, project-based, and vocational activities. framework, which emphasizes emotional regulation, energy regulation, environment, eating, education, and evidence-based practice, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Environmental Science, Recreation, Outdoor Education, or a related field required Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or complex needs preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Passion for experiential learning, nature-based programming, and student engagement
