Job Description

AMO is currently accepting applications for a Staff Environmental Scientist, geology background preferred, for our Doylestown, PA office. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of experience and an interest in environmental field investigations (groundwater, soil, and soil vapor sampling) and site assessment activities. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. General qualifications we look for include: Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related science; Interest in pursuing licensure as a Professional Geologist (PG); Familiarity with environmental regulations and investigative methods associated with soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; Current
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification or ability to obtain certification; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and/or CAD software is preferred; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work effectively in both field and office settings; and Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Primary responsibilities may include soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling; drilling oversight; data management; and assistance with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and other technical reports. AMO provides hands-on training and mentorship to support professional growth and development. Staff will have the opportunity to work directly with senior scientists and geologists on a variety of environmental projects throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Opportunities for mentorship and professional development toward obtaining Geologist in Training (GIT) certification and Professional Geologist (PG) licensure are also available. $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
