Environmental Scientist

Environmental Scientist - Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team. This role involves a balanced mix of office and fieldwork, focusing on site investigation and remediation projects across New Jersey. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, including gas/oil projects and industrial sites, under the guidance of experienced professionals. Responsibilities Conduct site investigations and remediation throughout New Jersey. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Write closure and summary reports. Perform groundwater and soil sampling. Coordinate schedules for various projects. Write technical reports. Evaluate and remediate underground storage tanks (UST). Conduct field screening of soils and post-remediation soil sampling. Participate in 50% fieldwork and 50% office work. Essential Skills Experience in environmental remediation. Proficiency in soil, groundwater, and air sampling techniques. Ability to perform technical report writing. Experience with field procedure manuals for soil, air, and groundwater testing. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Minimum of 2 years experience at an environmental consulting firm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
