The Environmental Department located in midtown Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Intermediate Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our dynamic group and support our growing business needs. The successful candidate would be experienced in ecological field studies, including stream/wetland delineations and protected species investigations in support of linear transportation and utility projects. The ideal candidate would also be familiar with GDOT and other regional DOT environmental reporting requirements and state/federal environmental permitting. What you'll do: Interpret maps, land-use plans, aerial photographs, topographic maps, construction plans, etc. for use in environmental analysis Prepare documentation for preliminary data requests from agencies and public sources of environmental data Calibrate and maintain field equipment Lead biological field studies including wetland delineations, stream classifications, and protected species investigations Collect, organize, review, and maintain field data Convert GPS data into GIS and CADD software platforms and prepares maps/figures in accordance to various document requirements Coordinate internally to obtain baseline data and deliver technical reports in accordance with project timelines Prepares and/or reviews GDOT and other regional DOT ecology documentation, including Ecology Resource Survey Reports, Ecology Assessment of Effects Reports, Protected Species Survey Reports, and technical memorandums Prepares and/or reviews Section 404 Permit applications and Stream Buffer Variance applications Assist in training junior staff Follow our BeyondZero company safety standards Here's what you'll need 2+ years of related work experience as an Ecologist required Certifications such as PWS or TN QHP preferred BS or MS in related field (environmental science, biology, ecology, wildlife management, etc.) Experience with

Posted Salary Range:

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
