Anticipated Start Date 5/11/2026 Location Remote Type of Employment Contract Hire Employer Info Our client has proven experience in delivering renewable power under long-term contracts to corporations, residential and wholesale customers, including utilities, municipals, cooperatives, and competitive retail providers. Job Summary The Senior Environmental Specialist, works with Facility Management and Staff to ensure compliance with all site environmental programs, including management of hazardous waste, petroleum products, chemicals, spill prevention and control, storm water run-off, etc. The primary responsibility is to ensure company resources are used in a cost-effective manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Job Description Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance. Assists with the preparation of environmental regulatory reports to local, state and federal agencies. Recognizes problems, informs environmental manager of concerns and helps to resolve them. Assists with creation of documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, etc. Assists in the development and implementation of site-specific programs and procedures including, but not limited to, SPCC plans. Assists with the maintenance of relationships with local and state regulatory agencies. Assist Facilities with data input, task completion and compliance reviews for Environmental Compliance Management System. Assists Facilities with maintaining compliance with site environmental permits. Keep the construction and operations management updated on existing or modified environmental regulations that may impact construction or operations. Other duties as assigned. Frequent travel to sites is required. Skills Required 2 years of related experience Ability to operate personnel computer with technical proficiency of standard business software. Knowledge in wildlife biology related to renewable energy facilities is a plus. DOT Certification for managing hazardous waste is a plus. Some knowledge or experience with Federal and state Endangered Species Act(s), Clean Air Act and/or Clean Water Act as related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects is a plus. Ability to read, write and understand English. Past experience with Tier II/HMBP (hazardous materials business plans) a plus. Education/Training/Certifications BA/BS in environmental science or related field Requires valid license to operate a motor vehicle. GAS Energy Staffing LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
