Job Description

Environmental Specialist - Tupelo, MS Lead Impactful Projects. Solve Real-World Environmental Challenges. We're looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist who's ready to take ownership of projects and make a tangible impact. In this role, you'll lead environmental investigations, guide compliance efforts, and partner with clients to deliver high-quality, practical solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. What You'll Do + Lead and execute environmental investigations, including site assessments and subsurface evaluations + Manage Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) from planning through reporting + Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and support permitting efforts + Partner with clients to understand project goals and provide technical guidance and insights + Prepare clear, concise technical reports with actionable recommendations + Collaborate with internal teams to deliver efficient, high-quality project outcomes + Support fieldwork including sampling, groundwater analysis, and site inspections + Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, and environmental best practices What You Bring + 5+ years of environmental consulting (or related) experience + Strong background in site assessments, subsurface investigations, and ESAs + Experience with environmental compliance and permitting processes + Hands-on experience with groundwater sampling and data interpretation + Knowledge of hazardous waste management and environmental regulations + Excellent communication and report writing skills + Ability to manage projects and build strong client relationships + Familiarity with AutoCAD is a strong plus Bonus Points If You Have + Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or related field + Experience working across multidisciplinary teams + Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Work Environment This role offers the best of both worlds: office-based analysis and field-based project work. You'll spend time developing reports, interpreting environmental data, and collaborating with your team, while also getting out in the field for site visits, sampling, and investigations. Limited travel is required, and safety is always a top priority in every environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
