Job Description

Overview Kimley-Horn's Fort Worth office is seeking a Environmental Planner to join our Power Delivery team! Responsibilities Prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations Secures permits, ensures compliance and manages ecological risks for transmission lines and substations. Conducts route analysis for new transmission lines and selecting sites for substations to minimize environmental impact. Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning Develops EMPs (Environmental Management Plans) to manage land disruption, noise, erosion, and vegetation management during construction. Qualifications Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Environmentlal Planning (or other degree applicable to the planning field) 10+ years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities Experience with a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning Understanding of the agencies involved with the Environmental Quality Act process as well as the state's Land Planning Law Experience with NEPA compliance is a plus Strong writing/verbal skills Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and a strong work ethic Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to work independently and as a team Why Kimley-Horn?
