H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste. H2C seeks an Emergency Preparedness Specialist who will be responsible for providing support to the Emergency Preparedness Manager.
Duties to include:
Conducts work within ethical standards established by the company Maintains all business records and reports properly and honestly, protecting company and customer assets Ensure contract requirements, DOE Orders, and Washington Department of Ecology requirements are effectively implemented and flow down appropriately Work with the Technical Analyst to review/develop technical documents Develop, conduct and evaluate EP drills/exercises for facility Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Proficiency, coordinating with internal organizations to develop and maintain the Emergency Preparedness program Develop and write drill plans and reports with suggested corrective actions Develop, revise, and conduct training modules for ERO members Track Performance Indicators and provide resolution for negative trends Create, review, or consult with the development of procedures/documents that affect the implementation of an operative EM program Conduct field surveillances and management self-assessments on Emergency Management Program requirements as directed Participate in on-call duties as requested Participate in off-shift drills as needed Assist in the corrective action management process and follow-up as required Participate in the Hanford Site Exercise Program Serve as a member of the Hanford Site Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Required Qualifications Grade 16: BA/BS Degree in Emergency Management, or a related field; two (2) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Grade 17: BA/BS Degree in Emergency Management, or a related field; four (4) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Grade 18: BA/BS Degree in Emergency Management, or a related field; six (6) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased. courses 100 & 200 Hanford ICS classes Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Maximum:
