Job Description

Some turnaround jobs give you a list to manage. This one gives you ownership. If you're the person everyone calls when instrumentation, electrical, or analyzer work starts impacting the turnaround schedule, this role puts you in the middle of planning, coordination, and execution - not just paperwork. What you'll be doing You'll serve as the point person for all I&E turnaround work, leading planning efforts, coordinating stakeholders, and helping ensure every scope item is ready for safe execution. You'll also provide guidance to another I&E planner while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors. Develop and coordinate instrumentation, electrical, and analyzer turnaround scope. Build and manage work packages using IPS. Plan labor, materials, and contractor resources for I&E work. Coordinate loop checks, functional testing, QA activities, and documentation. Track progress, resolve field issues, and communicate daily turnaround status. Review inspection findings and help manage scope changes. Act as the primary turnaround contact for all I&E planning and coordination activities. What you get This onsite opportunity in Superior, Wisconsin offers $55-65/hour , with flexibility for more experienced candidates, plus $178/day per diem for qualified non-local travelers. The contract runs for one year with the potential for extension. You'll work a standard planning schedule before transitioning to extended hours during turnaround execution, giving you the opportunity to see your planning through to completion. Who you are You're comfortable leading from the middle. You understand refinery instrumentation and electrical systems because you've planned or coordinated this work before - not just observed it. You know DCS, PLCs, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation, and you're at your best when coordinating multiple stakeholders to keep a turnaround moving safely and efficiently.
