Job Description
Description Broiler Fat Puller Purpose/Scope:
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for working in the field collecting and processing blood, extracting fat samples, swabbing birds, collecting water , collecting bacteria samples. Job will require driving a company vehicle. Person must be able to perform the following:- Must have experience in broiler positions.
- Must be willing to work all hours scheduled.
- Must be capable of performing simple math.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to meet the following, but not limited to, essential functions listed below with or without accommodation:
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Routinely collects and process blood, culture and tissue samples
- Complete necessary paperwork to submit samples to laboratory
- Assist in placement of pullet flocks
- Collect blood, fat, and swabs for bird movements
- Collecting water samples and other routine sampling
Qualifications:
(Required/Desired)- Highly motivated
- Able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds
- Must have excellent driving record and current valid driver's license
- Able to work in a hot, high humidity, dusty environment
- May be required to work abnormal hours
- Must be able to complete paperwork for laboratory submission of samples
- Must have positive attitude and be able to work well with others
- Excellent work, safety and attendance record
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required .
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to retrieve and handle bird bodily fluids.
- Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
