HAZWOPER
certification is required- Job Description
- This role supports field-based construction and environmental remediation projects by performing physically demanding tasks such as trenching, excavation support, material handling, and site cleanup.
HAZWOPER
certification is required, and the position involves assisting with the cleanup of a former shooting range at a Santa Susana site.- Responsibilities
- + Support excavation activities by shoveling, trenching, backfilling, and assisting with related field tasks.
- Essential Skills
- + Current 40-hour
HAZWOPER
certification, with ability to provide a copy of the original certificate and/or proof of 8-hour refresher. + Experience in construction labor, trenching, and general site cleanup in a construction or environmental setting. + Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and perform sustained physical work such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. + Comfort working in outdoor construction and environmental remediation environments, including exposure to the elements and varying terrain. + Proficiency in English to understand safety procedures, work instructions, and team communication. + Strong team orientation and work ethic, with reliability and willingness to support others as needed. + Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active construction crews while following all safety protocols. + Attention to detail in maintaining clean, organized work areas and properly staged materials.- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Prior construction or environmental remediation experience is preferred.
