Job Title:

ENVIRONMENTAL LAB TECHNICIAN

Monday-Friday 4am-12:30am/FINISH, Occasional Saturdays/Sundays as needed

Hours Per Week:

Full Time, On Site Pay Range:

$26-33 per hour

Ideal Candidate Criteria:

The Environmental Lab Tech must have the knowledge and ability to follow aseptic protocol; collect line samples, raw and pasteurized milk samples received and produced daily for testing.

Job Duties:

• Collect allergen rinse water when it's milk to juice day, use ATP swabs for daily sanitation verifications and environmental swab samples on a quarterly basis for micro testing.
• Collects and preps swabs or finished product samples to ship to our certified lab for micro testing.
• Conducts and completes daily pre-operational logs.
• Works and communicates corrective actions to production supervisors to complete.
• Participates in monthly and yearly internal audits of the production facility.
• Collects wastewater samples and completes necessary paperwork to comply with regulations.
• Collects and checks production batch records to verify specifications and traceability.
• Will keep up with lab inventory supplies.
• Keeps track of environmental swab trend analysis.
• Assists in food safety and quality projects.
• The person will be working with and maintaining laboratory instruments and logging data onto the computer.
• Prompt and regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:

Knowledge of math skills, computer, ability to read/interpret documents, and write routine reports/correspondence. May perform other duties as assigned, work as part of a team, maintain a clean/sanitary/safe work area. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English language proficiency required. Previous lab experience is preferred but not required.

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions and the noise level in the work environment is quiet except for when on the production floor. Experienced in using a yard dog to move trailers.

Job Duties:

Replacing bottle trailers from the processing plant. Taking transfer trailers from lower cooler to upper cooler Managing trailer locations in the yard Check to make sure you have the proper forms to fill out as you are unloading. Make sure all paperwork is filled out correctly. Document trailer numbers, time started and time finished, document the trailer temp, types of product you are unloading, and code dates. Put any and all mixed pallets away in the spots where the product belongs. Communicate with the replenisher on what can be brought up next and what trailers can be moved. Bring trucks to the upper dock for loading and rotate as needed Replenish products as needed to keep up with the demands of the box. Must be able to communicate if problems arise. Good safety record. Ability to move vehicles safely and slowly, checking all connections prior to moving. Trailer audits Refueling of trailers when needed. Must be flexible if needed to stay and help load some later routes. Complete the daily trailer list, document what product is in what trailers along with code dates and pallet counts. Class A/B CDL license preferred. Other duties as needed.

Skills Needed:

Basic speaking, reading and writing in English for paperwork and computer training purposes.

Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred. Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Manufacturing, dairy, food production, or related industry experience is a plus.

Job duties:

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and expense allocations in accordance with GAAP. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare supporting schedules and account analyses for management review. Analyze financial balances and investigate variances, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions when appropriate Assist with audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and supporting analyses. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements. Reconcile banking activity and investigate outstanding transactions as needed. Reconcile employee expense reports, corporate credit card activity, and related accounts. Process ACH and wire transactions while ensuring compliance with internal controls. Assist with cash management activities, including monitoring account activity and supporting cash flow reporting. Maintain fixed asset records, capital expenditure tracking, and depreciation schedules. Support property tax, sales and use tax filings to ensure compliance and timely filing. Manage business licenses, permits, and related regulatory documentation. Partner with Sales and Management teams to ensure customer pricing is accurately approved, maintained, and implemented within company systems. Maintain financial and operational master data to support accurate reporting and transaction processing. Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial visibility across the organization Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and special projects that support organizational growth

Skills Needed:

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast paced environments. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
