Job Summary Langan is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL . This individual will serve a key function in providing responsible for taking care of field equipment and company vehicles, assisting in environmental field work by collecting field data and samples, construction oversight, and compiling data and preparing reports. In this role, you will have the opportunity to environmental investigation/remediation projects of varying sizes in Florida. Job Responsibilities Assists with conducting various types of environmental monitoring (water, air, asbestos, lead) using basic field instruments; Assists with collecting samples, performing field tests and collecting and recording data; Operates and maintains various remedial systems; such as drills, pumps, electrical equipment; Assembles and maintains field equipment and systems; inspects equipment, troubleshoots as necessary; Monitors construction projects by taking various tests to evaluate whether the contractor or subcontractor has complied with job specifications; Prepares a variety of standard logs, and field forms (such as drilling logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs); Assists with basic drafting using AutoCAD; and Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred; 2+ years of prior related experience preferred; Hazwoper Certification, maintenance of annual physical and respirator fit test, annual Hazwoper 8-hour recertification, as required; Ability to inspect equipment and troubleshoot defects in equipment or materials; Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; Ability to occasionally work during evenings and/or weekends; Ability to travel to various job sites and spend most, if not all of the work day on-site, as-required; and Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.
