Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. What are we looking for? The Environmental Technician will support the Environmental business by conducting Environmental Consulting work in the Southern Florida Region. This includes performing field sampling of building contaminants, indoor air quality, and other Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and II.) This position will require travel 25% of the time throughout Southern Florida.
Shift/Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, can vary depending on workload What you'll do: Support the department on all environmental services including asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, site remediation, Indoor Environmental Quality Projects, and/or field observation documentation Environmental Site Assessments - Phase
I/II/III
Provide field support in environmental projects such as soil/groundwater sampling. Perform Field Documentation / Report Preparation Maintain Training Records / Field Instrumentation / Certifications (will provide training updates) Coordinate Project Data / Records / Reports related to the work assignments Participate in all QA/QC programs as appropriate and Safety Programs Perform other non-typical assignments upon availability as assigned by management This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
2+ years' combined industry experience High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Knowledge of regulatory requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Will require travel up to 75% of time (out of office) Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
Preferred Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science AHERA Asbestos Inspector and/or Supervisor Certification (FL) EPA Lead Inspector and/or Risk Assessor 40-hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
Training Soil & Groundwater Remediation experience CAD/GIS experience IAQ Assessment/Remediation experience
