An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of industrial clients. Record and analyze data, collect samples. Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing. Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols. Organize and prepare equipment for upcoming projects. Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is preferred. Previous experience working in a field-based / hands-on role. Team player with strong initiative Ability to travel during the work week Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.Additional Information:

Frequent overtime when working in the field, paid at 1.5x rate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crown Point, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50
