Job Title:

Environmental TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated Environmental Technicians to join our team at a Fishing Point Site near Baltimore, MD. This role requires individuals with strong quality assurance and quality control skills, comfortable working at a targeted site for up to 12 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring and documentation at the Fishing Point Site.
• Conduct soil sampling and oversee ground intrusive activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Monitor discharge from permitted outfalls and dewatering/treatment systems.
• Ad to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in environmental science and construction-related tasks.
• Experience with soil sampling and general labor in environmental fields.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Certification in OSHA 40 or OSHA 10 standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in geology or related fields.
• Comfortable working in a brownfield location and managing stockpile sampling.
• Experience with environmental fieldwork and documentation.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based at a brownfield location near Sparrows Point, w environmental professionals must oversee all ground-intrusive activities. The role involves documenting environmental conditions and ensuring the safe execution of tasks, including stockpile sampling and discharge monitoring. The work requires adnce to safety protocols, including the use of PPE, in a demanding setting w shifts can extend up to 12 hours a day.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Columbia, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
