Altec is currently recruiting a Safety/Environmental Intern/Co-Op for a one semester commitment, from January-June 2027. The position is located at the Altec Midwest Facility in St. Joseph, MO. Qualifications Pursuing a bachelor's degree required A degree in one of the following majors preferred : Safety Management Environmental Management Risk Management Potential Responsibilities Conducts safety and environmental training and education programs, and demonstrates the use of safety equipment Conducts Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) Participate in RCI events related to safety and environmental Inspects and evaluates workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations Assists in completing regulatory reports for EPA and OSHA compliance Assists in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions Assists in maintaining and updating emergency response plans and procedures Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and take part in Kaizen activities Other projects and assignments as needed Customer First
