Job Description

Job Title:
Environmental Engineering TechnicianJob Description Join our team as an Engineering Field Technician, where you will support our environmental testing and consulting services. This field-based role is crucial for our operations, focusing on air testing, environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, and hazardous materials testing across diverse client sites. Responsibilities + Perform environmental air sampling, including indoor air quality, mold, and asbestos monitoring. + Conduct EHS-related testing and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards. + Collect and document samples for hazardous materials testing, such as asbestos and lead-based paint. + Calibrate and operate field equipment and instrumentation. + Prepare accurate and detailed field reports and documentation. + Assist in planning and executing environmental testing projects. + Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams on site activities. + Track project timelines, deliverables, and compliance, and communicate site issues, risks, or needed adjustments. Essential Skills + Two-year degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. + Understanding of commercial construction environments. + Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring high quality in environmental testing. + Experience with hazardous materials, OSHA standards, and EHS compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Background in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Geology, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Comfortable working in field environments such as construction sites and industrial facilities. + Experience with air testing, asbestos, lead, or hazardous materials. + Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance standards. + Certifications such as Asbestos Inspector / Air Monitoring, Lead Risk Assessor, and OSHA 40-Hour
HAZWOPER.
Work Environment This role is primarily field-based across commercial, industrial, and construction sites, requiring exposure to varying site conditions with appropriate PPE. There will be occasional office work for reporting and project coordination. The position offers a growth-oriented career path with potential advancement into Project Management, alongside 100% paid health care benefits. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
