Engineering Manager Position Summary The Engineering Lab Technician supports product development, testing, and validation activities for aerospace and defense components. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring product performance under demanding environmental and operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and conduct engineering tests (pressure, flow, environmental, etc.) Operate and maintain lab equipment (test stands, chambers, instrumentation) Record, analyze, and report test data Assist engineers in prototype builds and design validation Support environmental testing aligned with
MIL-STD-810
Troubleshoot test setups and hardware issues Maintain lab organization, calibration, and safety standards Assist with documentation for qualification and compliance testing Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on technical experience (lab, manufacturing, or testing) Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to read engineering drawings and test procedures Experience with data collection and reporting Preferred Qualifications Experience with environmental or aerospace testing Familiarity with pressure systems, airflow systems, or instrumentation Background in electronics or mechanical systems Compliance & Work Environment Must be eligible to work in a U.S. defense environment (ITAR-controlled) Familiarity with
CMMC / NIST 800-171
environments is a plus Strict adherence to documented procedures Strong teamwork and communication Commitment to quality, safety, and mission-critical performance
