Who are we looking for? We're seeking a Field Technician to join our Environmental team in Niagara Falls, NY , where you'll support hands‑on remediation work that makes a real environmental impact. In this role, you'll assist with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of environmental remediation systems, including groundwater pump and treatment systems, while working closely with a collaborative, high‑performing team. You'll be involved in field oversight of remedial construction activities such as soil excavations, air sparging systems, and treatment chemical injections, as well as environmental sampling of soil, groundwater, and air. Accurate documentation is an important part of the role, with all field activities recorded through detailed field notes, forms, and electronic records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys fieldwork, variety in their day‑to‑day responsibilities, and contributing to projects that protect and restore the environment. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Health, Safety, and Environment:
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
Personal Capability Building:
Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
Testing:
Perform a broad range of tests requiring detailed assessment, measurement, and judgment.
Operational Compliance:
Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
Waste Management:
Carry out operational waste management tasks by following established processes. This will involve adjusting multiple settings or parameters to meet performance standards.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Perform basic tasks in technical troubleshooting, such as identifying evident technical issues with equipment and experiments and assisting in basic diagnostic actions. What you'll bring to the team: Up to 5 years of environmental field experience Familiarity with control systems for treatment equipment (i.e.
SCADA/PLC/HMI
) Good mechanical skills as well as solid troubleshooting abilities Ability and willingness to travel and perform field work 80-100% of the time (this will include working outdoors in adverse weather conditions) 40-Hour
HAZWOPER
Certification is a plus Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
Salary Range:
