Job DescriptionThe Field Technician is responsible for overseeing the collection, transportation, and delivery of water samples to the laboratory, ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures. This role does include customer sevice skills, attention to detail and organization.
Perform daily field operations, including sample collection, transportation, and timely delivery to the laboratoryCollect environmental samples from wastewater plants, industrial sites, and other designated locations using proper sampling methodsPerform field measurements for environmental parameters such as pH, Chlorine, Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, and ConductivityMaintain accurate logs of sample collection, transportation times, and discrepancies; ensure proper documentation accompanies all samples direct supervisor and /or managementUnderstand and follow all sample collection techniques, safety protocols, and QA/QC standardsEnsure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality protocols, including sample preservation and hazardous material handlingRepresent the laboratory professionally when interacting with clients at collection sitesMaintain accurate records of sampling locations, methods, and site conditionsCoordinate with laboratory staff to ensure correct materials and containers are used
QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAuthorization to work in the U.S. or Canada without restriction.Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and adherence to protocolsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProven experience in environmental sample collection, courier services, or field operationsAdditional InformationPosition is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 A.M.- 3:30 PM, with additional time as needed. Position is located at our Marion, Ohio location. Position Pay Range is $18-20/hr based on experience.
