What they do

An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Environmental Services Work Hours:
Casual.
Evening Hours Basic Functions:
To provide an environment that is safe and sanitary throughout HVHS and support the Environmental Services mission statement of providing quality services the first time, every time.
Qualifications:
Required :
Must be able to read and write, and understand written and verbal instructions. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years previous experience in a health care setting .
