Working under the direct supervision of senior HSE staff, the HSE Technician I will spend time across various shop areas, supporting frontline safety and environmental programs that keep the facility compliant with FAA, OSHA, EPA, and internal company standards. Duties and Responsibilities Confirm compliance with established checklists covering FAA, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards. Assist with the safe handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical management, including adding chemicals to tanks. Assist with the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including proper labeling, storage, and disposal of acids/bases, solvents, paints, batteries, and tank sludge cleanout. Support handling of wastewaters and other MRO byproducts. Help maintain basic logs, including SDS (Safety Data Sheet) binder updates and inspection checklists. Conduct routine checklist-based inspections of shop areas under supervision. Attend and support HSE training sessions. Distribute PPE (personal protective equipment) to employees. Perform basic equipment checks. Assist with spill response and cleanup as needed. Exposure to noise, chemicals, cleaning agents, hazardous / nonhazardous waste and dust is common. Qualifications and Requirements These are the requirements to successfully perform the role, and to be considered for the position. High school diploma or equivalent required. OSHA 10 certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire). Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire). Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS), chemical labels, placards, and written safety instructions in English. Basic written and verbal communication skills for logging and reporting. Ability to follow established checklists and procedures accurately. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to do the following: Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting conditions. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, including throughout shop areas. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25?50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach as needed to inspect equipment or handle materials. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate tools, controls, or equipment. Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods, including respiratory protection where applicable. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to distinguish labels, placards, and safety markings. Ability to hear and respond to audible alarms, warning signals, and verbal instructions. Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals, fumes, and varying environmental conditions with appropriate PPE.
