Infection Control Assistant - Full-Time (Saturday & Sunday Required)

Los Angeles, CA Job Description Infection Prevention Services, LLC is seeking a full time Infection Control Assistant to support infection prevention and regulatory compliance activities at healthcare facilities throughout the Los Angeles area. This is an in person, field based position. Candidates must be comfortable working in hospitals and other healthcare settings, interacting with staff at all levels, and traveling between facilities as needed. This position requires a five day workweek. Saturday and Sunday are required workdays every week. The remaining three workdays will be assigned based on company and client needs. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in infection prevention, healthcare quality, public health, nursing, regulatory compliance, or healthcare operations. Responsibilities Conduct infection prevention rounds using company approved tools and checklists. Observe and monitor compliance with hand hygiene, PPE use, isolation precautions, environmental cleaning, and infection prevention practices. Assist with data collection, documentation, audits, and report preparation. Follow up on identified opportunities for improvement and corrective actions. Provide real-time coaching and education to healthcare staff when appropriate. Assist with regulatory readiness activities and accreditation preparation. Support infection prevention projects, surveillance activities, and performance improvement initiatives. Communicate findings and concerns to supervisors and facility leadership. Complete assigned reports and documentation accurately and on time. Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout the Los Angeles area. Perform other duties as assigned. What We Are Looking For Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and facility needs. Ability to remain professional and composed in fast-paced environments. Willingness to learn and develop infection prevention knowledge outside of formal training. Ability to accept coaching, feedback, and accountability. Qualifications Master's degree preferred. Healthcare experience preferred but not required. Public health, biology, healthcare administration, nursing, quality, infection prevention, environmental services, or related backgrounds are preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Reliable transportation required. Ability to travel throughout the Los Angeles area required. Schedule Full-time Five days per week Saturday and Sunday are required Two weekdays off will be assigned based on business needs 7:30m-4pm Travel Requirement Up to 75% local travel within the Los Angeles area
