$90,000 - $94,000 per year Join Our Team as a Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist RN Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Staff Development and Infection Prevention programs . This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring clinical excellence by promoting infection prevention best practices, educating and developing staff, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate new employee orientation and clinical onboarding Develop, schedule, and facilitate ongoing staff education and competency validation Coordinate annual mandatory in-services and required clinical training Manage the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program Conduct routine infection control surveillance and facility rounds Investigate and manage infection outbreaks while implementing corrective action plans Monitor, track, analyze, and report infection data and trends Educate staff on infection prevention practices and current regulatory guidelines Monitor employee compliance with immunizations, TB testing, and respiratory protection programs Prepare and present infection control reports for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings Participate in QAPI initiatives to improve clinical outcomes Maintain survey readiness and ensure compliance with all CMS, state, and federal regulations Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to promote resident safety and quality care Qualifications Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required Minimum of three (2) years of skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience required Previous experience in Staff Development and/or Infection Prevention preferred Certification or specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control preferred Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and presentation skills Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, infection prevention standards, and long-term care best practices Benefits Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Programs Opportunities for Professional Growth & Continuing Education Supportive, collaborative team environment Company perks and employee discounts Make a Difference Every Day At Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you'll have the opportunity to shape clinical practice, educate future caregivers, and protect the health and well-being of our residents and staff.
