Infection Prevention Coordinator Location:
Chestnut Ridge Healthcare Nursing Center An established and reputable skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Staff Development / Infection Prevention Coordinator . This is a key leadership and compliance role responsible for staff education, infection prevention oversight, and ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and facility standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor staff education, competency, and orientation programs. Oversee infection prevention and control initiatives in compliance with CDC and CMS regulations. Partner with department heads to ensure consistency in training and policy adherence. Conduct audits, maintain records, and prepare reports for survey readiness. Provide clinical guidance and promote best practices to support quality resident care. Qualifications Current RN license in good standing (state-specific). Minimum 2 years of experience in staff development, infection prevention, or a related leadership role within long-term care or skilled nursing. Knowledge of infection control standards and training program management. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. #KYSTANDARD
