Infection Preventionist / SDC

Medway Country Manor, a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is seeking an RN/BSN to be our Infection preventionist/staff educator. Experience is required. Must be able to commute through all types of weather and willing to take the cart as needed. Responsibilities Oversee nursing staff and ensure adherence to best practices in patient care. Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient observations and assessments, utilizing knowledge of physiology and epidemiology. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans, particularly in critical and acute care settings. Facilitate research data collection and maintain accurate medical terminology in documentation. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and promote a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in nursing management Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and epidemiology Proficient in data management and medical records maintenance Experience in critical care, acute care, and infectious disease care Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards Background in assisted living or hospital settings, particularly in Level I or II Trauma Centers Skills in patient observation and research data collection
