We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Northeast Correctional Center located in Bowling Green, Missouri. The Infection Control Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data, assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease. Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required Must be IV certified Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred 1 to 3 years' experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required Experience in correctional environment preferred Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
