Job Description
Where You'll Work CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Infection Prevention Specialist at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help clinical teams and hospital leadership manage surveillance, education, and performance improvement initiatives so they can ensure the safety of patients, personnel, and visitors through the prevention of disease transmission. Every day you will conduct unit rounds, monitor for healthcare-acquired infections, and provide expert clinical guidance on infection control protocols. You will be expected to oversee department operations, ensure compliance with CMS and accreditation standards, and coordinate staff training programs. To be successful in this role, you must possess deep expertise in APIC-aligned infection prevention practices, have a proven track record of interpreting regulatory guidelines, and demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor clinical staff.
