Requirements include:
Master's Degree in public health or a related field and two (2) years experience conducting surveillance, community health assessments, and/or epidemiological research. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: § Serving as epidemiological expert for the maternal and child health (MCH) program. § Supervising assigned MCH staff and programs. § Giving advice and counsel to employees on work and administrative matters. § Designing, managing, and evaluating surveillance systems used to monitor and characterize adverse health outcomes in the community. § Managing the local coordination of activities related to MCH surveillance and investigations. § Collecting, processing, and analyzing public health data using tools such as SAS, R/Rstudio, Tableau, and ArcGIS; assisting with the management of statistical databases. § Coordinating and conducting epidemiologic research and/or assisting with community health assessments. § Preparing, reviewing, and presenting routine statistical summary reports and special reports as needed. § Assisting with the evaluation of public health practices associated with disease prevention. § Developing methods to monitor and improve data quality. § Maintaining collaborative partnerships with local public health stakeholders. § Maintaining accurate records. •This is a grant funded position.
