Job Description Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Mgr Infection Prevention and Caregiver Health and Safety for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $61.56 - $92.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary The Manager of Infection Prevention and Caregiver Health & Safety oversees organizational programs that protect both patients and caregivers from harm by ensuring the effective implementation of infection prevention, caregiver safety, and occupational health practices. This role leads teams supporting infection prevention, exposure management, workplace violence prevention, safe patient handling, caregiver injury prevention, and workforce safety programs. The manager is responsible for overseeing escalation to operational leaders toe when unsafe practices are placing caregivers or patients in immediate risk. The manager ensures alignment with system strategy, regulatory requirements, and community needs while fostering a strong culture of safety. Essential Functions Provides leadership for Infection Prevention and Caregiver Health staff including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management Clearly delineates responsibilities and decision‑making authority among Infection Preventionists, Caregiver Health RNs, and Clinical Coordinators to ensure efficient operations, clear escalation pathways, and regulatory compliance. Ensures system and community department goals are achieved, and service excellence is demonstrated across inpatient and outpatient settings. Oversees the infection prevention program including surveillance, outbreak response, isolation practice compliance, and ICRA processes. Manages caregiver safety programs including workplace violence prevention, safe patient handling, ergonomic injury prevention, and hazard assessment in coordination with the caregiver safety facilitator. Ensures full readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys related to infection control, workplace violence prevention, and other occupational safety. Implements standardized improvement methodologies including Lean, human factors principles, and safety science. Monitors performance metrics and oversees infection and caregiver safety data integrity, analysis, and reporting. Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to develop and implement risk reduction and safety improvement plans. Collaborates with patient safety & quality teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability. Participates in budget planning, resource allocation, and cost‑saving initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
