Job Overview The Manager of Infection Prevention is responsible for leading, planning, developing, directing, implementing, and evaluating aspects of infection prevention and control activities in collaboration with the Regulatory department, Environment of Care, and Environmental Services within AltaMed Health Services Corporation, under the supervision of the Director of Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs.. The Manager helps drive and optimize the culture of safety through the prevention of healthcare-acquired infections (HAIs) by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread, systematically collects, analyzes, and interprets health data to plan, implement, evaluate, and disseminate appropriate public health practices; and trains healthcare staff through instruction and dissemination of information/standards on infection control practices. Through strategic planning, leadership, and consultation, the Manager leads and directs a robust team in the identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives throughout the enterprise to support compliance with regulatory standards. Lastly, the Manager develops and executes continuous process improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional leaders in Health Services, Ancillary Services, Senior Care Services, Dental Services, Facilities, Employee Health, Business Occupancy, and other departments, enterprise-wide as necessary. Minimum Requirements A minimum completion of an LVN program with an obtained degree or higher. Bachelor's Degree in a health field preferred. A minimum of 7 years of hospital/outpatient setting experience is required. Experience in Infection Control/Prevention or Certification in Infection Prevention. CIC Certification is highly desirable. If no certification, it will be required once the experience/hours requirement has been met to qualify to test. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines. Compensation $113,800.96 - $142,251.20 annually Compensation Disclaimer Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
