If no experience in food manufacture but has Bachelor Degree, will train, entry level welcome! This food manufacturer has been around for more than 80 years, and their products are sold at most majorgrocery stores. They are growing! Please contact to find out the name of the company.

K Summary:

Responsible for supporting product development, process development, commercialization, and maintenance of tofu and plant-based food products Contributes to innovation, productivity improvements, technical problem-solving, and implementation of new technologies through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners Plan, design, and conduct experiments related to new product development, process improvement, commercialization support, and product maintenance with minimal supervision. Organize and analyze data, and clearly communicate project progress and experimental results to management. Support product maintenance activities, including formula updates, ingredient substitutions, quality improvements, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance. Support commercialization activities, including scale-up, production trials, process validation, and technology transfer to manufacturing. Provide technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Marketing, Sales, QC/QA, Production, and SCM. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements related to processing, products, labeling, product claims, and advertising. Conduct shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and analytical testing of new and existing products. Research consumer trends, market opportunities, emerging technologies, and ingredients to support concept development and innovation initiatives. Develop product formulas that meet nutritional, regulatory, quality, food safety, and cost requirements. Support collaborative research and development activities with suppliers, contract laboratories, universities, research institutions, and other external partners as needed. Identify and evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and technical opportunities that support business objectives and continuous improvement. Other additional responsibilities would be assigned

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition,, or a related field 0-3 years of experience in food product development, food manufacturing, or related technical field Basic knowledge of FDA, USDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements Experience with laboratory testing and data analysis is preferred Knowledge of food manufacturing, food hygiene, and quality contro l Basic knowledge of nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, and statistics Familiarity with analytical testing equipment and laboratory procedures Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Regular tasting of food products. (not allergy to soy, milk, egg, wheat, chocolate, peanuts, etc.) Ability to think logically and analytically Strong communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively Familiarity of equipment for analytical testing and scientific lab procedures Basic cooking skills (Occasional food cooking for sample tasting which does not require special techniques.) Occasionally travels to New Jersey and Philadelphia plant (about 1-2 times a year) Occasional work across time differences Experience with plant-based foods, tofu, dairy alternatives, or protein-based products is a plus Physical requirement: Frequent computer use in an office environment, Manual dexterity required, Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, Ability to reach, lift, bend, stoop, climb, and push or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs, Ability to travel by plane, train, or car if necessary This company has been outsourcing the recruiting matters to Ingredi, Inc., a recruiting agency.
