Job Description

Innovative Applications Scientist focused on dietary supplement and functional food product development, collaborating across sales, production, regulatory, and supply chain to bring custom formulations from concept to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom formulations for dietary supplements and functional food products Prepare prototype samples and conduct developmental testing Perform sensory evaluation and optimize product attributes Evaluate ingredient functionality and support raw material qualification Support pilot runs, scale‑up, and first production launches Partner with Sales to ideate new products and drive customer innovation projects Participate in technical customer meetings and develop formulation concepts for proposals Perform formulation costing, prepare quotes, and identify cost‑optimization opportunities Maintain R&D documentation, including specifications, ingredient qualification, and packaging records Provide technical support to Production, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Logistics teams and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or a related scientific field 1+ year experience in food or dietary supplement product development (Applications Scientist I) 3-5+ years experience in dietary supplement or functional food formulation, including project management from concept to commercialization (Applications Scientist II)
