$72,000 - $105,000 Griffith Foodsis hiring aFood Scientisttocomplete projects and technical initiatives to develop new and optimized productsfor Griffith US Product Development. This is your opportunity to apply scientificprinciplestodevelop, improve, and ensure the safety and quality of Griffith Foods products. As aFoodScientist, your responsibilitieswill include: Responsibilityfor the design, planning, execution, andreporting of experiments and projects. Completing product formulation activities to driveefficientproduction of safe and regulatory complaint food products. SupportingInnovation and Sensory activities that support thelong-term strategy of the organization. RepresentingProduct Development in professional business relationships with Griffith Foods client and supplier base. Drive new productconceptsfor product category by contributing ideas.

TheFoodScientistpositioniswell-suited for you if you:

Have customer facing experience as a food scientist in the food manufacturing industry Have experiencewith QSR customers and processorsas a food scientist. Are able to function as a scientist todevelopnew and optimized products. Work with a true sense of urgency. Have a keen attentionto detail, enabling projects quick turnaround time for projects. Exceptional attention to detail.

Qualified candidates willhave:

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, or relatedtechnicaldegree Master'sdegree is preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experienceofResearch & Product Development or QualitySystems experiencewithin the food industry. Must be able to consume and taste meat, poultry, and seafood products that maycontainallergens including but not limited to wheat, dairy, and egg. Willingnessand abilityto workonsite inAlsip, IL 5days per week Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% on short notice.
