Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Food Scientist/Technologist in Illinois.
Bakery Technologist/Baked Goods Technologist/Pastry Technologist/Food Scientiest Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of new food products and optimization of existing ones. Create and refine benchtop prototypes. Plan, execute, and oversee production-scale test runs. Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to guide product decisions. Develop initial product specifications and documentation.

Education, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Food Technologist or in a similar product development role. Demonstrated higher level of expertise and additional experience compared to a standard Food Technologist. In-depth knowledge of food ingredient functionality, product development, food processing, nutrition, and food labeling regulations. Hands-on capability to mix, process, and evaluate formulas as required. Experience planning, coordinating, and running plant test trials. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented food professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing new food concepts to life.
