Job Description

Job Title:
Summer 2027 Intern - Agriculture (Technology/R D)
Summary:
The intern will be conducting a research project related to the development of new sustainable adjuvants for agricultural applications. This includes helping in the synthesis, formulation and application testing of new agricultural materials. These new products have an enhanced sustainability profile while preserving or expanding the performance achieved with current solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
Research project geared towards advancing Momentive's knowledge and understanding of agricultural spray adjuvants. Must be able to perform the following functions after training. Independently perform lab-based experimentation - Operate all instruments required for the scope of the project. Document work through an electronic lab notebook. Maintain lab according to good housekeeping principles. - Collect and consolidate findings in report format. Summarize and exhibit work in a PPT format at the end of the summer.

Job Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to analyze scientific problems and propose hypothesis-driven solutions. - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment and integrate concepts from chemistry, physical chemistry, biology, agricultural sciences, or related fields to understand, articulate, and contribute to solving complex scientific problems. Experience executing experimental studies and interpreting data to establish structure-property-performance relationships. Ability to effectively document experimental work and communicate technical findings through written reports and presentations. Familiarity with surfactants, colloid and interface science, or related fields is a plus.
Program Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship. The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
Education Requirement:
Must be pursuing a MS or PhD in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related field.

Base Pay Range:
$22.00 - $26.00 The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
