Your Role in Synergy's Success Application Technologist II is responsible for beverage and product development featuring coffee, tea, and other botanical extracts, essences, and flavors. The role is laboratory-based, but is expected to interact with customers and internal collaborators to produce customer-preferred application solutions. How You Will Contribute
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE BS
degree in Food Science or other applied science (5+ years)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and optimize finished product formulations using various flavor delivery systems. Lead some complex processing of batches (panning, running Microthermics, etc.) Demonstrates strong understanding of basic mixing and blending skills in different applications of one's department and have ability to follow formulations precisely Write production formulas with batching instructions with peer review by Sr App or lead Have a basic understanding of finished product labels, nutritional panels, and ingredient statements Set up and run shelf life/stability tests according to parameters given Must possess strong general flavor knowledge Stay current with new ingredients, flavor trends and changes to industry standards Participate on cross-functional teams and key accounts to create demos and presentations. Provide basic technical support to customers during demos and presentations with account managers Work on projects with ambiguity, execute project in a timely manner Participate in routine taste panels and provide input Good documentation and lab notebook organization skills Maintain organized and efficient laboratory equipment and environment. Starting Salary :
$68,000 to $92,000 The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled. For more information on our benefits click here.
