$90,000•$120,000 per year Job Details•Our well-established engineering firm is seeking an experienced Certified Engineering Geologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geological site investigations, assessing geological hazards, and providing detailed reports. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for geology and engineering to undertake complex projects and deliver high-quality solutions.Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive geological site investigations including field mapping and subsurface exploration. 2. Assess geological hazards and provide detailed reports on findings. 3. Provide foundation recommendations for engineering design based on geological assessments. 4. Perform laboratory analysis of soil samples to determine their composition and suitability for construction projects. 5. Develop and implement erosion control plans to prevent or minimize soil erosion on construction sites. 6. Advise on environmental impact considerations and provide recommendations to mitigate potential environmental risks. 7. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals in the planning and execution of construction projects. 8. Ensure all work is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. 9. Conduct site investigations to assess the suitability of the site for construction and to identify potential geological hazards. 10. Carry out construction testing to ensure the quality and safety of the construction materials and procedures.Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. 2. Must be a Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) with a valid license. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering geology, particularly in the construction industry. 4. Proficient in conducting geological site investigations and assessing geological hazards. 5. Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and detailed reports. 7. Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various professionals in the engineering and construction industry. 8. Proficient in using geological and engineering software for data analysis and report preparation. 9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on geological assessments. 10. Commitment to adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to construction and environmental protection. 11.
