Job Description
Job Overview Eco & Associates, Inc. is seeking an accomplished and licensed Geologist or Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join our team in a leadership capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional ready to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior staff, and make a meaningful impact at a dynamic, client-focused environmental consulting firm. About the Role As a Senior Professional, you will serve as the technical lead on a wide portfolio of projects spanning environmental compliance, site investigation, groundwater monitoring, remediation design and implementation, permitting, hazardous waste management, and due diligence. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will also play a key role in growing the firm by supporting business development efforts, building client relationships, and contributing to proposals and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control Serve as the primary client liaison and maintain strong, long-term client relationships Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, geologists, and scientists Direct and review field investigations, remedial designs, and environmental assessments Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory submittals Coordinate with local, county, state, and federal regulatory agencies Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all projects Support business development through proposal preparation, client outreach, and networking Champion and enforce a strong safety culture firm-wide Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred Minimum 8-12 years of progressive professional experience in environmental consulting Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) required; Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certifications a plus Proven experience managing projects for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, municipalities, and private sector clients Deep hands-on experience with environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, and remediation systems Established relationships with California regulatory agencies and thorough knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations Strong track record preparing and evaluating permit applications and environmental compliance documents in California OSHA 40-Hour
HAZWOPER
certification with current annual refresher Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Canvas; GIS, AutoCAD, and Primavera experience is a plus Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Must pass pre-employment and annual drug/alcohol screening Ability to travel periodically as needed What We Offer Eco & Associates is a tight-knit team of dedicated professionals who take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy the collaborative environment they have built.
