We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Environmental Staff Geologist/Engineer to join our dynamic team. Job Summary We are looking for an entry to mid-level Environmental Staff Geologist/Engineer to support our growing projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting site observations, sample collection, and coordinating with subcontractors. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in environmental consulting, working alongside senior professionals in the field. The successful candidate will also assist with project documentation, cost estimates, proposals, and technical correspondence. Key Responsibilities Conduct site observations and environmental assessments. Collect soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and ambient air, and other environmental samples in accordance with project requirements, regulatory guidance, and quality assurance protocols. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project specifications and budgets. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and technical reports for environmental projects. Help prepare and review technical correspondence with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Work collaboratively with Cornerstone Earth Group's Project Managers and Principals to support project execution and troubleshooting. Develop a strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry best practices. Ensure proper documentation of field activities (including chain of custody documentation), sample analysis, and project data. Prepare data summary tables and figure drafting. Adapt to changing project requirements and assist in troubleshooting on-site issues. Prepare plans and specifications for remediation and mitigation strategies. Assist with other environmental engineering tasks as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. 0-3 years of relevant work experience in environmental consulting, geotechnical, or related fields. (Internships or related coursework can be considered for entry-level candidates.) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced but supportive environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other common office software. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and limited travel as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification (e.g., E.I.T, G.I.T) or ability to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe. Experience with environmental sampling, site assessments, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ASTM, EPA, state/local regulations). Familiarity with environmental software tools (e.g., Auto
CAD, GIS
