About Central Nevada Gold Central Nevada Gold Corp. is the 100% owner of the Mule Canyon Gold Mine located ten kilometers southeast of Battle Mountain and five kilometers south of the i80 interstate highway. Our mission is to build a profitable multi-asset precious metals business. Position Overview Central Nevada Gold (CNG) seeks a highly capable Geology Manager to lead all geological activities for the Mule Canyon brownfield redevelopment in full compliance with NI 43‑101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
The role is accountable for:
NI 43‑101-compliant verification and rehabilitation of legacy datasets Geological leadership for the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) due March 31, 2026 Geological inputs and modelling oversight for the Pre‑Feasibility Study (PFS) targeted for completion in Q4 2026 Design and execution of an exploration programme to expand resources and de‑risk development Preparation and review of NI 43‑101 technical report content and public disclosure Management of external consultants across geology, resource modelling, geostatistics, and study engineering Geological due diligence on acquisition/JV targets Creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all geological activities, including health & safety Key Responsibilities 1) Legacy Data Review & NI 43‑101 Verification Compile, audit, and validate historic drilling, sampling, assay, mapping, geochemical/geophysical, and production datasets. Execute NI 43‑101-aligned verification (QA/QC review, analytical methods assessment, survey/collar checks, verification drilling or re‑sampling recommendations). Document verification procedures, limitations, and conclusions for inclusion in technical reports. Maintain a defensible, traceable geological database suitable for QP sign‑off and resource estimation. 2) Geological Oversight of PEA (Due March 31, 2026) Lead all geological workstreams and deliverables for the PEA. Develop and review geological interpretations, structural frameworks, domain definitions, and geostatistical parameters. Integrate geological inputs with mine planning, metallurgy, geotechnical, hydrology, and environmental work. Ensure all content is NI 43‑101 compliant, internally peer‑reviewed, and QP‑ready. 3) Geological Oversight of PFS (Target completion: Q4 2026) Advance and refine geological and structural models post‑PEA for PFS/DFS standards. Support detailed resource estimation, classification, sensitivity analyses, and model reconciliation. Provide geology‑informed inputs to mine design, metallurgical testwork, and project engineering. Ensure full NI 43‑101 compliance across PFS geological deliverables. 4) Management of External Consultants Select, contract, and oversee external consultants (resource modellers, structural specialists, geostatistics/QA‑QC experts, and PEA/PFS engineering firms). Define clear scopes of work, deliverables, timelines, and budgets; manage performance and change control. Conduct rigorous technical reviews to ensure NI 43‑101 compliance, methodological consistency, and alignment with CNG's geological model. Coordinate site visits, data exchange, modelling workshops, and version control across teams. Ensure outputs meet the standard required for QP validation and integrated study use. 5) Exploration Programme Design & Execution Design and execute a brownfield exploration strategy targeting resource expansion and discovery. Plan and manage drilling (RC, core, metallurgical, geotechnical), including permitting, logistics, and contractor oversight. Enforce robust QA/QC, chain‑of‑custody, and documentation standards; maintain real‑time model updates from drilling results. Prioritize targets and adjust programmes based on technical results and study needs. 6) NI 43‑101-Compliant Reporting & Public Disclosure Prepare or contribute to NI 43‑101 technical report sections (Property Description & Location; Geological Setting & Mineralization; Exploration & Drilling; Sample Preparation, Analyses, and QA/QC; Data Verification; and, if qualified, Mineral Resource Estimates). Ensure all public technical disclosure (news releases, presentations, investor materials) is accurate, compliant, non‑misleading, and reviewed by a QP. Support executive communications with clear, disclosure‑ready summaries and figures. 7) Geological Due Diligence for Acquisition/JV Targets Evaluate targets through review of technical reports, drill datasets, QA/QC programmes, resource estimates, and exploration histories. Identify material geological risks, opportunities, uncertainties, and verification gaps. Prepare concise due diligence memoranda and recommendations for senior leadership. Engage and manage external specialists for focused diligence, as required. 8) SOPs for Geological Activities & Health & Safety Create, implement, and maintain SOPs for all geological activities, including: Drilling, sampling, and core handling/logging/storage QA/QC, chain of custody, and database/data governance Field mapping, geophysics, and geochemistry Data review, verification, and model update workflows Health & Safety standards and field/drilling risk controls (aligned with federal and Nevada regulations, and CNG corporate policies) Train employees, contractors, and consultants on SOPs; audit compliance and drive continuous improvement. 9) Technical Leadership & Governance Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing geology team; foster a culture of technical excellence, safety, and accountability. Maintain audit‑ready documentation and governance across all geological datasets, models, and disclosures. Provide geological risk assessments to support study scenarios and investment decisions. Collaborate closely with engineering, metallurgy, environmental, permitting, and operations. Qualifications & Experience Required BSc in Geology, Geological Engineering, or Earth Sciences (MSc preferred). 10+ years in exploration and/or mine geology with strong gold deposit experience. Demonstrated contributions to NI 43‑101 compliant PEAs and PFSs. Proven experience managing external consultants and complex technical deliverables. Proficiency with modelling/GIS software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine, ArcGIS). Strong grounding in QA/QC, sampling/analytical methods, geostatistics, and data verification. Experience drafting technical procedures or operational standards. Preferred Professional designation enabling Qualified Person status (e.g., P.Geo., CPG). Experience with Nevada gold systems (Carlin‑type, epithermal, intrusive‑related). Brownfield redevelopment and former‑producing mine exposure. Prior experience in M&A due diligence.
