Utility Locate Technician

Xray Locating specializes in near surface geophysics and utility location and mapping for the environmental, engineering, geotechnical, and construction design industry. We are currently looking for a mid-level utility locator. We utilize a combination of high-sensitivity metal detection, terrain conductivity, magnetics, 3-D GPR, and GPS integrated with utility-locating techniques to provide our clients with valuable subsurface information. Typical projects include underground storage tank, oil well, sump, buried drum, rebar and void location, and debris searches, as well as private utility locating and mapping. Training on geophysical equipment will be provided and growth potential within the company is high. Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus. Safety training will be provided as needed however 40-hour OSHA training is a plus. Qualified candidates need to be physically fit since geophysics fieldwork involves carrying 30+ pounds instruments for long periods of time over varied terrains. Clean Driving Record Xray Locating is a Drug Free Environment and all applicants will undergo Pre-Hire and Random drug screens Salary is dependent upon experience and is negotiable.
